Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

On arrival at the Airport, You will be picked up by our professional Karumuna Safaris Drivers and Guides. You will then be driven to your Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Virunga

Early Morning transfer to the virunga National Park. Popularly known for Gorilla tracking. Some of the optional activities include: Mountain gorillas, Mountain Kabuye
- Mont Kabuye, Golden monkey, Dian Fossey’s grave, Mountain hiking
- Excursions à pied sur les montagnes,  Lakes tour : Burera,Ruhondo, Rugezi swamp

Day 3: Gorilla tracking in Virunga national park (Park National des Volcans )

The Virunga national park is the only conservation area three taxa of Great Apes – Eastern Lowland Gorillas (Grauer’s gorillas), Mountain Gorillas and chimpanzees. at least an hour in the presence of gorillas. As we Track and Hike through the volcanoe mountains to View these Gorillas

Day 4: Relaxation by Lake Bunyonyi

Have a free day to relax by beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.
There is a short list of optional activities: canoeing, swimming (safe in this lake), hiking on Bushara trail along the lake-shores, return to the hotel and relax / canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi with small resident and exotic bird species singing. This can be an option for the next day as well

Day 5: Canoe ride / swimming / hike to the view point at Lake Bunyonyi

Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of birdlife around the lake. The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. You will choose either to go for a canoe ride, swim on the lake or hike to the view point on the hills to see the exceedingly beautiful scenery of this part of the country

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Lake Bunyonyi and continue driving through the hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas.

Day 7: Safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to kampala

Early morning safari walk, get early up to visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds buffaloes in there day break jungle life! Get back for breakfast and start the drive to kampala. Have early lunch in Masaka and a stopover at the Equator.
